On 24 September 2025, Estonian defense technology company Front42 and Taiwanese AI drone innovator AiSeed Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Estonian Defence Week Expo 2025 in Tallinn. This agreement will lead to joint projects that bring together AiSeed’s autonomous drone technology and Front42’s tactical know-how and global reach. The first projects will focus on Ukraine and other European markets.

The Edge of Robotics: Battlefield Lessons from Ukraine

Ark Robotics hosts a private side event during the Estonian Defense Week on how robots are changing today’s battlefields. Drawing on lessons from Ukraine, this will be a practical discussion on the future of autonomy in warfare. With Ark expanding into Estonia, we will look at how Europe can build resilience through local manufacturing and deployment. Visitors will see Ark robots on site, including the first preview of our latest UGV platform and Frontier Drone Kit in Estonia.

The inaugural Tallinn Defence EXPO, taking place September 24-25, 2025, as part of Estonian Defence Week, has officially sold out all exhibition spaces, demonstrating very high interest in Estonia's growing defence industry sector.

The highly representative exhibition will bring together a balanced mix of participants, with approximately one-third of exhibitors coming from international companies and two-thirds representing Estonian defence and aerospace firms. This composition reflects Estonia's strategic position as both a local defence industry hub and an attractive destination for international defence technology companies.

Estonian startup LendurAI, which develops autonomous drone solutions, raised 5.57 million euros in investments to accelerate the development and market launch of their GPS-free drone technology. The unmanned aerial vehicles being developed are capable of operating independently even when there is no access to satellite or radio signals.

On September 25, the European Defense Tech Hub (EDTH) will host the Defense Hack Day — a high-intensity, one-day innovation sprint where builders, engineers, and founders take on validated defense and security challenges.
