We specialize in the development and manufacturing of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), electro-optical ISR and target acquisition solutions, and launcher systems for strategic strike drones. Threod’s product lines are in active operational use in real combat scenarios. Their design and development are driven directly by end-user tactical requirements and the realities of modern battlefield environments.

Since its establishment, Threod’s products have been delivered to customers in 26 countries, including 13 NATO member states. A key focus market is Ukraine, where the armed forces currently operate all of Threod’s core systems in the field.

Eos C VTOL – Fixed-Wing Vertical Takeoff and Landing UAS

Eos C VTOL – Fixed-Wing Vertical Takeoff and Landing UAS

The Eos C VTOL is a weather-resistant electric UAV with vertical takeoff and landing capabilities, developed for reliable performance in varied and demanding environments. It is currently used by the defence or internal security forces of Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Moldova, and several other countries for surveillance, reconnaissance, and target acquisition missions.

The Eos C VTOL is the third generation of this platform. Threod is now in the final testing phase of the fourth-generation Eos D VTOL, which is expected to be commercially available by the end of 2025.

eOpic Electro-Optical Camera Systems

eOpic Electro-Optical Camera Systems

The eOpic product line includes gyro-stabilized gimbals designed for ISR and ISTAR applications. These systems integrate visible, LWIR, MWIR, and SWIR sensors along with laser designators compliant with NATO standards. The laser-targeting capable gimbals enable precise direction of laser-guided artillery shells, rockets, and air-to-ground munitions, even in GNSS-denied conditions.

Threod develops and manufactures these systems both for its own UAV platforms and for integration with third-party unmanned and manned platforms. The upcoming Eos D VTOL, equipped with the eOpic-6-ISTAR gimbal, will be among the lightest UAVs globally with the ability to designate targets for precision-guided munitions from a safe standoff distance.

Cata Aircraft Launcher Systems

Cata Aircraft Launcher Systems

Cata is a family of compact, lightweight, and operator-friendly launchers for deploying strategic strike drones — including loitering munitions — even in challenging terrain. The systems are designed for low visibility, rapid setup, and quick relocation, contributing directly to the safety and survivability of the units using them.

The product line includes four pneumatic launcher configurations, tailored to different tactical requirements and capable of launching drones up to 350 kg.
Threod’s Cata systems are used in 10 countries across four continents, in a range of climates and mission profiles. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are among the users, and their operational input has directly informed product adaptation for frontline needs.

Company Background

Founded in 2012, Threod Systems has become a significant European developer of unmanned aerial systems and related technologies. The company's core mission is to provide reliable, high-quality ISR capabilities that support tactical effectiveness and operational safety.

Since 2017, Threod’s UAVs have been deployed in Ukraine — initially through the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission and later directly by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Operational feedback from these deployments has played a key role in refining the company’s systems and guiding the development of new solutions.
