It is our great honour to invite you to the 29th European Spas and Balneology Congress, taking place on October 8–9, 2025, in the heart of Haapsalu, Estonia’s historic resort town. This event is part of the celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of the Haapsalu resort and will bring together representatives from over 20 countries — including leaders of medical spas, scientists, health promoters, entrepreneurs, media representatives, and policymakers from across Europe. The Congress also commemorates the 30th anniversary of the European Spas Association (ESPA) – a journey from balneology to modern health and well-being.
Key themes of the congress include:
Strategic priorities in European health and wellness policy
Sustainable use of natural therapeutic resources (mud, mineral water, marine environments)
Balneology and thalassotherapy in modern preventive medicine
Medical wellness and the societal value of healing spas
Innovation and international cooperation in spa tourism as well in the resort towns
