IN MUD WE TRUST – LET´S MAKE HISTORY TOGETHER!
Join us in Haapsalu on October 8–10 where we will set a world record of muddy handprints – a symbolic “give me five” from the healing power of nature.
This unique event celebrates 30 years of ESPA and 200 years since the very first mud treatment in Haapsalu.
Dip your hand in Haapsalu's curative seamud, press your mark on the canvas, and become part of a once-in-a-lifetime story.
Your handprint = your legacy in the world’s largest mud memory!
Together, we will prove that healing traditions leave a lasting mark.

You are warmly invited to the opening of the exhibition “The Town of Broken Crutches” at Haapsalu Town Hall on October 9 at 14:00.
People who came to Haapsalu to improve their health did not spend all their time in mud spas. The Haapsalu city government created a diverse summer life with the goal of making their guests' time as pleasant as possible. A strong café and concert culture emerged, and home decoration competitions and beauty pageants were held. Various social card and board games that were played in cafes were also popular.
The City of Broken Crutches introduces this culture to visitors. At the exhibition, visitors can touch almost everything, try out various social card and board games, listen to music from the 1920s and 1930s, and truly immerse themselves in the golden age of the Haapsalu resort.
In addition to the temporary exhibition, the permanent exhibition A Resort Guide tells the story of Haapsalu through different districts of the town and the discovery of mud therapy in 1825.
